V6 IPS Vs i4 DCT

Considering leaving the BWM life behind and branching out after a few years of BMW fun. Car would be mostly for track but also want to enjoy the experience of getting to the track. Leaning towards an auto as after years of tracking DCT cars has probably made me a poor manual track driver.

Has anyone driven both the auto V6 and DCT i4 who could give feedback? I also imagine (stupidly) that down the line there will be tunes available for the i4 to make close to 500 hp without spending too much (yes, yes, yes I know that is not the point of these cars).

Any thoughts?

Cooling is a big issue on the i4 models apparently, so I doubt you'll get anywhere near 500bhp.
