I received an email from Direct line today saying they are not going to renew our car insurance. No explanation.

Why is this? we have had our Polestar 2 for 3 years. Unfortunately, we hit a deer 2 years ago, so we did have to claim. Apart from that, nothing. No motoring offences, or anything else. I will be 70 this year. Perhaps that has something to do with it, I don't know.

Anyway, can someone recommend another company who I can try?

Just get on a comparison site, that will be the best way to find an insurer quickly.

Insurance companies don't like to take on certain risks, probably just direct line not wanting to accept the risk this year. Had it happen a few times over the years.

Just shop around as you should anyway, I was with Admiral on a 2 car policy, and they wanted over £300 more than two separate policies with Aviva

I can never work out how they work out how much and who they want to insure
