Looks like release is imminent - who’s in line for the next iteration?

Could this be the GT3 that doesn't achieve overs?

What holds me back from moving from 2.1 to 2.2 are these terrible mandatory nanny systems you have to switch off every single time you start the car.

Which is relatively ok if it's possible to do with a single button-press, but no-one has yet described the actual procedures to do so in a 992.2

Every time I get in my BMW I press the off button for Stop/Start and I do it without thinking. It's when stuff is built into screen menus or requires multiple steps it's a hassle.

Which is exactly what's required on a 992.2, it involves a good few screens of the touch display to swith the nanny aids off. Looks a right faff, EVERY TIME you start the engine.

Every generation improves, but as Chris Harris said in his 2021 review of the 992 GT3, 500 HP is sufficient for anyone. I hope the new car goes to people who want to drive it, rather than to those looking to make a profit for the dealer or to flip it. Let's wait and see.

Not true.. yes, you need to de-activate every time (it’s the law) but it’s just two buttons once the car is configured properly. One for the speed stuff, and one for the lane keep. If that’s enough for you to not consider a new GT3 then that’s great. One less person in the queue smile

I wonder will this be the first new GT3 which is quicker than the previous RS (not that it really matters) but from memory Porsche have always made the new gt3 quicker than the previous RS, for me, i dont think that’s possible this time!!

If they do and there's room for a driver, passenger and luggage ... the existing RS might be seen as a failure !

P.S. The 992 GT3 is not faster than the 991.2 GT3RS ... but both are "faster" than the 992 GT3RS ... in terms of top speed wink
