Something very tempting about this CL600 for sale, despite some impractical elements such as size and running costs.

However the chance to own a big luxury barge and a V12 is intriguing.

I know there could be costly stuff along the way, but anyone with any insights of what to look out for or to expect would be appreciated.

It has the AMG rear bumper and skirts, but the non-sport front bumper. That seems a little strange.

Lovely spec otherwise.

As much as I like Mercedes cars, and as elegant as these are, I suspect it would be a life-long money pit.

Some versions 65AMG for the example, will hold a fascination, but the 500/600 cars seem to depreciate to zero, making any maintenance and repair costs a purely emotional decision.

Agree with the previous poster, the skirts are at odds with the front bumper.

I certainly wouldn’t lump the CL500 & the CL600 together…they’re distinctly different animals.

My CL600 has a Quaife ATB diff & a remap by Kleemann to 650 bhp / 750 lb/ft (1050 Nm) -it is definitely an animal & being delimited, has as much top end as you’ll need down at the pub.
