E63 Estate 5.5

So I was considering a Golf R estate and came across this.

MPG isn't an issue for me. But was wondering if there are any crazy ruinous bills to be aware of.

Seems good value if it's legit.

It’s an older car. It will cost a bomb to keep going. The golf will have lower running costs.

The drive train and consumables are all tried and tested Merc, the only thing to be wary of is timing chains on early TT 5.5's (I only know as was looking at SL63's with the same engine).

I don't have a clue for the market of those but the price seems heavy for a leggy white car (may not be of course).

The 5.5 engine in the pre-facelift W/S 212 body is my favorite E63.
The advertised cars seem to linger for a while these days, so there may be some bargains to be had.
