I have a USA 2007 Vantage with a manual transmission. The AM radio band is dead. I know the radio is a Volvo/Alpine unit and a common problem. I understand the was a TSB issued but I can’t find it anywhere on the net. Trying to get an answer from an AM dealer is impossible. I have the Vehicle Build Specifications for my car. But I can’t seem to find out if there is an anti-theft code for the radio and what happens if I disconnect the AM radio module? I don’t know what this means from the build sheet ; AM / FM HARNESS: AM/FM Non TMC Harness (HN00). In the US there is a radio repair company that can repair any car for around $100 USD. But I don’t know what will happen if I remove the module will the radio not work again thinking the radio has been stolen?
Any and all information would be great.
Thanks

I took the head unit out of ny 05 db9 to have the cd mechanism replaced, went straight back in and worked no issues.
I dont know for sure but if there is any coding its probably the unit to the car
Good luck
