Volvo xc 90 sat nav screen

Hi guys, my workhorse 2012 xc90 ,
I’ve had it for a year and about 3 weeks ago this screen popped up. I never saw it before . .
I think it’s sat nav- I never knew it was there and I don’t like it ! Any ideas how I can get it to go back in its little cave as I find it very distracting- especially at night !
It pops up a few seconds after I start the car and goes back into its hole when I turn the fine off - I just want it back in its hole and out of my life ! !

You should have a remote control with the car, looks like:

When you navigate through the options, one of them is turn off or similar, that will put it away.

Have you got a button behind the rear of the right hand side of the steering wheel?

With the ignition on, try and press it. It should turn the satnav on and off. If you turn it off with the ignition on, then shut the car down, it should stay down (It remembers its position with the ignition on).

Good point, forgot about the button in case of missing remote.
