Hi All,

I've just joined the TVR tribe with the purchase of a 96 Chimaera in Australia.
To get it on the road I need the windscreen washers working.
I've got a trickle of water coming out of the pipe at the pump, so it's not jammed.
Issue is I've only got 2v at the wire connecting to the pump, not 12v.
Anyone give me tips on where the wire ends up?
Seems to go across the front of the car then up into the wing, from there?
I found a wiring diagram online which shows a wiper ECU, where does this live?
I had a look in the passenger footwell, wow what a spaggetti of wires, fuses, relays.

Also read there is a Chimaera bible, where can I source one?

Thanks for any help.

Can’t help with the routing of the wiring but the Bible is available from tvrbooks.co.uk

Looks like they will ship to Australia but if not I’ll gladly send on if you have one shipped to me.

Worth disconnecting the pump connector and cleaning out with contact cleaner, this sorted out faulty indicators for me.

Pop 12 volts directly on to the pump as it may be seized.
Perform the voltage test at connections with pump disconnected, it's common for the connections to be corroded.

Brilliant, contact cleaner plus some compressed air on various parts sorted the windscreen washer. And I’ve ordered the book. Thanks for you help…

Glad you got it sorted, it’s often the connections that get crusty in the wiring.
Maybe you can change your name from ‘peeved’ now? biggrin
