I have a 2016 XJ X51 on 20” Orana wheels.

The ride is bloody awful, not a patch on my old XF

How critical are these cars on their tyres ?

I have Hankook on the front and Kumho on the rear.

There is a vibration tight through the car, esp at motorway speeds. Has anyone else had a similar experience and if so is there a solution please ?

Surprised to hear you have a vibration right through the car , is the balancing and tracking ok or do you have perhaps a buckled rim ?
In my experience with Tyres and clearly there are other opinions out there but shortcomings with tyre choice usually manifests itself through poor road holding , harsh ride or increased wear rates rather than an ever present vibration . Just a thought Zippy

Have the tyres got some damage perhaps? Especially if they've been let go flat by the previous owner and damaged the tyrewall? Happened to one of my cars once.

Agree with the thought on buckled rim, my XF had one and had the vibration at motorway speeds.

Hi
Thankyou for the input.

There are no buckled rims, new tyres, tracking done, balancing done,
Two new hubs at the front

I am just wondering could it be something as simple as
none Jaguar spec tyres ?

Wild guess but it could it have been in a crash and be slightly out of shape?

Whilst I have your attention, I removed the cover underneath and
to the tear of the glove box and this sensor was hanging around.
Whats it fir and where does it go ?

I’d agree, more likely to be suspension bushes or similar. BMWs used to suffer from it, known as “the shimmy”.
