I know it's been 3 days since the new 74 plate registrations were launched (1st September 2024) but I haven't spotted any driving around.

When the 24 plate registrations came out on the 1st March this year, I spotted several on the first day.

Has anyone spotted a new 74 plate in the wild yet?

None. I'm waiting on my own to be delivered in a couple of weeks, wondering if that'll be the first one I see !

Saw a Corolla. My car had it's first MOT on Monday and there was a 74 plate Picanto and a Niro outside the Kia dealer, but they don't really count.

I don't really look out for them, but I've only seen the Corolla on the road.

My one and only 74 plate this week. Not a bad one though.

Some sort of SUV on a 74 plate came past me yesterday, I'd forgotten about them until that point.

There are definitely fewer 74 plates on the road, considering they have just been launched. Normally, you see loads of new plates around, as the new owners obviously want to drive their new cars around.

I have seen so many more 24 plates since September 1st, so maybe people are just saving money and buying nearly new cars.

A grey crossover thing.

I'd completely forgotten it's a plate-change month.

Not like the old days, when newspapers would feature stories about people collecting their new cars at a minute past midnight on the 1st of August!

I had a '74 plate 3008 as a rental on Tuesday. It was the first one I've seen, but oddly there was another '74 plate 3008 in the village that evening.

None of this is very exciting of course, just some dull but very new Peugeots.

Saw a 74 plate bus this morning at a service centre.

Few months ago I saw 24 plate buses being driven on the road in February, with trade plates of course.

Wonder if anyone saw any 74 plates in August
