BMW - can they provide missing service history?
Discussion
hi all
I've bought an older BMW (1998 E36). I've been told it had 6 or more services at the supplying dealer, but there is no service book with the car to verify this.
The supplying dealer, I assume is long since closed or changed name, as I cant find anything on them via Google.
Can BMW HQ supply any details of services dating back to 1998 onwards? Also would they be able to supply a new service book retrospectively stamped with any services they have records of? (for a cost ££?)
Any contact details or advice on this is appreciated - thanks!

If you email BMW UK customer services and the supplying dealer is a franchised dealer they can provide you with "details" of the services, but AFAIK that is all.
A 1998 car (unless it is a 5k miles showroom example) isn't going to benefit from a stamped up book anyway, especially as they are so easy to fraudulently replicate.
