TPMS malfunction

2016 Mondeo Estate

Keep getting a tyre pressure monitor malfunction error on dash. Just had a new battery fitted and also 2 new front tyres after the front left was nearly at its limits of tread and developed a slow puncture.

I've reset the monitor through the steering wheel dash controls but the error still comes back.

Any pointers gratefully appreciated

Tyre fitter damaged the sensor on the valve?
I've had that on the misses 2015 kuga. We found out after a trip to ford and their special detector thing. But you should be able to pick it up on Forscan... I've just used that for a speed sensor failure. £30 amazon dongle just a bit headache installing software on laptop

I got a tpms sensor reset tool (£14) after watching a couple of videos online and it works up to the rear right tyre where I don't get the beep I do with the other tyres. I have a feeling that sensor is crackered and I'll need a new one
