Sported out £1.99 to rent Snack Shack, via Prime earlier. I’d seen the trailer, which was amusing. Set in 1991, two teens rent the ‘Snack Shack’ next to the outdoor pool in their Nebraska town, in the summer.
Wasn’t expecting much, so this came as a really pleasant surprise. The film feels really authentic and the young cast were likeable and charismatic, if sometimes looking a little older than they should.
Really reminded me of the feel from those films we watched in the 80’s. When life was simpler. Who doesn’t like a well made, feel good film? Lots to relate to here as well. I thought this was a lot of fun.

Thanks for the heads-up, i'll give it go
On a similar theme, heart warming coming of age film called The Way Way Back, set around a water park with Sam Rockwell.

Another simple, well made, feel good film there.

I can also recommend "The Way Way Back" a far better film than I was expecting and Rockwell is excellent.
Based on those I'd suggest, it's a series on Prime: "Red Oaks" - has the guy from "Submarine" and a couple of others you'll recognise but I found it enjoyable - not overly nostalgic either.
