After the summer break, the World Endurance Championship returns to Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Texas for the first time since 2020. The 6-hour race takes place on the difficult circuit in what promises to be very hot conditions. Let’s hope the cars, the tyres and the drivers in their enclosed cockpits can all overcome the heat to give us an exciting race!
This ‘Spotter Guide’ is for the 6-hour race which takes place on Sunday (1 September).
The pictures shown below are lower resolution screengrabs. If you want a better quality for printing, I include a Dropbox link to a PDF version with higher resolution.

Hypercars built to the LMDh regulations: Alpine (Oreca), BMW (Dallara), Cadillac (Dallara), Lamborghini (Ligier) and Porsche (Riley) have a red frame around the car picture. Unfortunately, the small Hypercar team Isotta Fraschini (#11) has closed for now and will not return in 2024.

Is there anywhere online to watch this for free? I can watch on WEC or Eurosport, but is there a reliable streaming alternative (which isn't dodgy links!).

As Eurosport (Discovery+) will have paid for a broadcast licence there won't be any other legal feeds in the UK, other than perhaps feeds from individual teams for specific cars.

Broadcast info here

I thought that might be the case - I wsa hoping that there might be a sponsors feed or similar.

The race is 19:00 - 01:00 on Sunday night/Monday morning - so I've got to decide how tired I want to be on Monday smile
