Is it possible to see underneath (photos), specifically the rear beam etc.

The beam has done less than 100 miles since fitting and was undertaken using quality parts and rebuild of its original beam.

This is not an IM axle type rebuild.

I Didn't have it powdercoated as I wanted to keep the car as original as possible but needless to say it's had the full mechanical overhaul it needed including rebuilding of the original compensator.

I don't have access to a ramp until Friday but perfectly happy for anyone to come look for themselves, including yourself.

I really appreciate your comment. Whilst I can't take credit for the majority of it's life under the ownership of the previous owners I can say it wasn't hard to see this car had been preserved by a fastidious family. Alongside his collection of Caterham lotus darrian and other sports cars the gti6 slotted into supermarket duties when 2 heaters didn't cover it. The car was maintained by a mutual friend who tipped me off that it was for sale. He'd been in charge if its maintenance taking it fir it's motees at the main dealer and putting anything right with it until he moved away the year before I had it.

It really was the straightest 306 gti6 I've seen including some restorations. This car has categorically not been in an accident never thrashed or abused in anyway.

I will sincerely miss the car when the auction finishes especially after experiencing the epic roads in it, between Rhayader and devil's bridge through the elan valley. This car was fantastic on its oe suspension soaking up the best crests and bumps the elan valley and it's iconic roads through invigorating scenery can throw at you.

I really hope it will go to someone who loves it as much as I don't want to sell it.

I will include a stainless steel sports exhaust I didn't want to fit if the auction winner wants it. Personally, to me this car is all about it's originality, besides its respray because its previous laquer peel that they were prone for from the factory.

Thank you for your kind comment and interest.

Looks fantastic. I've been eyeing this up on the home page and only just seen this thread.

Perhaps purely coincidental but I thought how smart auction ending around 8pm on a Fri eve hopefully when folks are well lubricated with beer..

It's a very tempting thought.

Good luck

I've refitted the crazed alloy which appears to have been caused by alloy cleaner.

Had a 1999 306 HDi D Turbo mapped to about 135 bhp that was a real hoot, had 80,000 on it when I bought it in 2004,192,000 when I flogged it 9 years later.
It still went and handled very well even with that much on the clock.
They're fabulous cars that helped give Peugeot it's awesome reputation.
Personally, there's very few modern cars I'd put up against a rapid well driven 306 even nowadays(my current ride is a 2019 F36 BMW),they're still that good.
The new owner of this black beauty will enjoy it alright.
