Being honest I nearly always only drive it with the top down so it’s hard to say how efficiently it works. If it starts raining and I put the hood up the screen certainly de-mists pretty quickly with the screen heating on but as for keeping cool inside on a hot day I cannot say for sure how efficiently it works.
A couple of summers ago I was in Switzerland and it was high 30s Celsius and put the hood up to orotect from the sun and it cooled somewhat but not icy cold. It has not been refurbished and at 27 years old it almost certainly isn’t as effective as a new modern car. But then you wouldn’t expect it to be…

It’s a beautiful car. This might sound like an odd question, but why sell it at auction?

Good morning,

Could you advise further on the oil leaks mentioned in the recent paperwork? Furthermore has the rust been investigated?

is there any rust to the underneath of the car or anywhere else or is it just to the wheel arches and the scuttle area?

The only rust I am aware of is that visible on the pictures, that is wheel arched and base of windscreen

Autofarm who serviced it told me there was slight oil leak, consistent with a car of this age. It is not enough to actually drip onto my garage floor. It doesn’t seem to affect driving and it does not need any oil added between annual services. That’s all I know. Although I have loved owning the car and driving it I am not a mechanic and never tinker with it myself so I rely on advice from experts.

Yes it is a beautiful car. I am not a car dealer. I have never sold a car as usually I just trade in part exchange. I considered various options to sell it and found it difficult to decide the best way to sell. I received conflicting advice from various friends who are into cars. In the end I thought Piston Heads was a good idea. Presumably you think not. How would you have sold it?
