I'm fed up with Spotify. Mainly it's the constant app issues (massive battery drain, connectivity issues with Sonos, refusing to resume playback when I get in the car and Bluetooth connects etc.) but the more I read about them the less happy I am spending my money with them so am looking for an alternative.

We have the duo subscription but would likely be changing to the family one soon as the kids are starting to want to listen to music more now, so we'd be looking for something similar. Integration with Sonos is a must. App reliability is important too. My own music tastes are fairly broad to say the least so wide selection is important.

What's good these days?

I’ve tried most of them, ended up with Apple Music.

The interface just clicked more with me

Spotify was best for suggesting new music

Tidal sounded the best

Had various tech issues with Deezer

YouTube music was a bit basic, shame as I pay for YT premium

I've been using Youtube Music for years now as I also use Youtube Premium and have a family account with three of us using it currently. Works perfectly for me, no issues with reliability and I use it a lot both directly from my phone and on Apple Carplay.

I can't comment on Sonos as never used it
