Mazda MX5 RF EPAS heavy

I bought a 2021 MX5 RF Skyactive Auto recently and the steering seems heavy compared with one I tried previously. Can the EPAS unit be adjusted or can the steering motor be upgraded to one more powerful? Have bad arthritic shoulders that are progressively getting worse - love the car if it can be tweaked a little.

There is no adjustment though it is meant to be lighter at low speed.

It may be worth bumping up the tyre pressures as I don't find my 2019 2.0 manual RF steering to be particularly heavy. At least the column is adjustable for height and reach to get the best position.

I have tried adjusting the steering column height, I have also had the wheel alignment and steering checked. I will try the higher tyre pressures.
