My "GTS Viper Blue" Chimaera is developing a number of little dings as a result of our appallingly bad roads throwing chunks at it. I hear that there is a wax that corresponds to the car's colour that can be applied to mask these little spots. What product would people here recommend?

I used a product that came with a waxy crayon & coloured polish....but for the life of me I can remember what it was called.

A fat lot of use I know hehe

(My car was a darker blue though)

Just buy a touch up kit as polish wont last 2 minutes. Think it was turtle wax colour magic that came with the crayon.
Ive heard good reports about chipex kits, takes a little time but you can get very good results with it.

I'd be really interested if you find a decent colour match for the GTS viper blue. So far I've completely failed!!

I was looking for some touch up paint to cover the usual scratches on the rear wings, where a previous careless owner(s) have balanced the targa. I've always used these chaps in the past who provided 4 brilliantly matched paints for my Loti (even better than Lotus themselves!) but not so good in their two attempts for my Ellise Violet Chim unfortunately.

I notice on p6 of the August TVRCC mag, an ad for 'Paintnuts' which sounded promising. Then you read the Trustpilot reviews ...! I suppose all the sellers
of touch ups are mixing to the same formula and with such small amounts it only needs an extra small drop of the wrong pigment and you've had it.

I eagerly await feedback from anyone who has had great success with the colour match on touch up paint

Plural lesson:

Octopus = Octopuses (derived from Greek)

Fungus = Fungi (derived from Latin)

Focus = Focuses, or in technical contexts- Foci (derived from Latin)

Lotus = Lotus if talking about cars (or Lotuses if talking about plants)
