VW Used approved

Can anyone tell me with a used approved VW Golf, warranty for 2 years and MOT cover for 2 years, is it best to get it done at the dealership (which I've lost faith in a bit, lots of issues over past 2 weeks but not enough to return the car for their no quibble refund) or go with a VW approved garage. We have a local one we've used for years and trust, and the dealership said we can continue to use this garage and get the services added to official service history if we send in the paperwork... but I heard it can then make it difficult to claim on the warranty if the services services etc. hasn't been done at their own garage. Would appreciate any experience of using a VW approved, but non dealership garage for services/MOT, and then having to make a claim on the dealership warranty should an issue have arisen.

I'd used VW only. If you need to claim, then they always try to wriggle out of paying for anything.

Mine has about 18 months left and full supplying dealer service history. They are the only people to have touched it. Any issues and I have an above average of success.

Use a specialist and abide by the factory schedule.

If said specialist cannot add the digital records in house then you probably shouldn't be using them.
