I have just bought a new shed 2004 C70 T5 (2.3).

It has several Polestar badges (rear, I think wings and dash). Short of asking a dealer that might not even exist anymore about a 20 year old car, is there any surefire way to tell without dynoing it?

Thanks.

I didn't think Polestar had much to do with main stream Volvos until well after 2004.

Not sure if that is actually an answer, just sayin'.

Any Volvo dealer should be able to let you know if it has Polestar tuning

I keep looking around and I think this is the answer. They didn't start doing commercial Volvo tuning until about 2008.

Thank you.

Pretty sure someone has just stuck some stickers on it as I don't remember seeing any articles on Polestar touching a C70.

Edit: A quick look at Wikipedia gives you the history of which models they touched in their history:

I popped my VIN in here and it tells you if it's optimised.

Bus as mentioned above, I think 2008 was the first year for optimisation.
