Astra SRi VX Line 1.2 Turbo - 70 plate

Picked up a second hand one of these last week on 30k miles.
Drove great on the test drive, did the deal, had to drive about 60 miles home, half way back EML came on.
Took it to VX dealer, needs a new turbo and vacuum (something can't remember exactly).
Selling dealer been absolutely great and footing the bill completely no questions asked, but the parts are on back order with no estimated delivery date at the moment, so could be days, weeks or months who knows.
I really like the car, looks wise and kit wise, and the 30 miles I did get to drive it was really good.
What are the common problems with the 1.2t, is this common or alarming?
Would you persevere or just start the ball rolling to reject the car within 30 days?
