NC Central Locking Problem

Hi all,

I've just picked up a shed territory 1.8 nc to run around in.

Bit of a snag with regards to the central locking. Once I press the unlock button the car doors lock and unlock over and over again, also when driving along the doors keep locking and unlocking.

Any pointers in what to look for? I've given the door switches a poke and it doesn't seem like they are sticking.

Very probably the driver's door actuator - I've just replaced mine. It's a common fault, strangely affecting the drivers door and very rarely the passenger door.

New actuator is around £120 and is a bit fiddly to fit - see YouTube for details. MX5 Parts may have a 10% sale on at the moment, I think, or if you're shedding, MX5City may have a used one in stock (and will fit for a very reasonable cost, if needed).
