I have exactly the same on occasions, with a glass key Vantage.
I doesn't result in any subsequent problems (at least not within 12 years), so I don't think you need to worry.
It might occur because the system does not like being rushed.
Perhaps try pausing for a couple of seconds, after the ignition has become active.

You may already know this, but the button only goes red when the car is telling you that cranking is available, so you need to have ignition on and your foot on the brake (or clutch depressed for a manual transmission).On my "glass key" SSII V8V I normally put my foot on the brake then push the key all the way into the dock to Pos III to get immediate cranking, so I never see the button turn red.
If I want to crank for oil pressure, then I push the key in carefully to Pos II with no foot on the brake and the button lights up white. Applying the footbrake will then make the button turn red
I had the same problem with a DB11. Dealer said it was due to poor adjustment on the brake light. Not sure how that works but sounds like you can start it with your foot on the brake pedal without it being pressed far enough to light the brake lights and the button. Only happened on a cold start when the pedal was hard. Anyway they made the adjustment and it was fine.
