Fuel Pressure regulator

I noticed a small diameter rubber tube at the back of the fuel regulator but cannot remember if it connects to anything, I dont think so but stand corrected as its 7 months since dismantling things. Thanks for any help.

The regulator normally connects to a hose tail on the stepper motor at rear of plenum on a Chim but I'm guessing it's the same on a Griff.

This ^ and yes it matters that FPR needs to see a vacuum ref
