Can anyone help recommending a tent to meet the following:

- £150 - £200
- 2 Separate bedrooms
- Main living area with ability to standup (I'm 6ft 1')

I have found the following two tents so far:

Halfords 6 Person Tent

Mountain Warehouse 6 Man Tent

Any help would be great. Thanks.

A second-hand Outlook tent.

Many second-hand tents are barely used and can be an absolute bargain. A brand new cheap tent is likely to be poor quality - not waterproof, weak stitching, few "features" that make life easier (decent zips, tie-backs for flaps, venting)

Usual answer based on what I’ve seen on campsites is an Icarus 500. It’s what we have, can add an awning for double of the floor space, easily sleeps 4. Good spares availability.

Doesn’t (or ours doesn’t) have a blackout bedroom but tbh we’re usually getting too warm for that to matter. Hasn’t let us down yet in some bad weather.

We have 1 and it does what it says on the tin. Works fine for 2 parents and 2 (primary aged) kids.

Ended up buying the Halfords tent. Was a bit dubious buying a second hand tent as to whether the condition would be ok.

Pretty impressed with the Halfords tent for the money. Definitely does the job, held up well against the heavy constant rain we suffered.
