2018 F-Pace R Sport 2.0 litre 240bhp 75,000 miles

Coming home on the motorway, the car coasted to a halt, safely fortunately. Turns out there’s no oil and no sign of where it went. Engine is US.

I contacted 6 refurbishment garages, all around London, and all offered either to replace or refurbish the engine. Each garage said it will be the oil pump failing and if you added up how many they claim to do in a week, easily several hundred failed for this reason.

There must be hundreds on piston heads with wrecked 2 litre engines so were any of you successful in getting redress from Jaguar?

Another jag owner with a faulty engine over here, contacted Jag who have told me they are not aware of it being a common fault yet sitting with 14 in their yard at present.
