As you may have seen, I started a thread a couple of weeks ago, where I was seriously thinking of ordering one of the lovely Triumph 400x Scramble bikes.

At the time they were £5595 new, however they have just increased another £200....not the end of the world, but annoying (a bit)

As I will probably only do less than 500 road miles PA, as I really plan to use it for messing about on the vast moors and quarries near me, I decided I could not really justify the expense, even though the Triumph is a lovely machine.

I then looked at the new Himalayan 450 RE's but at around £6k again, a bit much.

So I have settled on a blue 411 Scram, i know the engine is a bit old skool, but for £3900 brand new with three years warranty, I am sure it will do the job just fine.

Picking it up September to get the new registration, this will be my 32nd bike, thought my biking days were over....lol!

I was chatting to a fella on one in Kelso the other day. 8000 miles and not missed a beat. He obviously looked after it as it looked brand new but the paint/fasteners all looked good. Did the NC500 on it and basically said solo and legal speeds its great. Bit of a bargain atm I reckon. Enjoy

Finally picked it up today, someone couldn't wait to try it out for size. Very pleased with it so far.

Nice!
I really like the look of these bikes - I wish they did a 1000 cc version with 150bhp - it would be way cooler than a Honda cb1000r....

Looks great biggrin It's nice to see Triumph starting to tickle colour back into their range.

I hope that picture is photoshopped or someone is cleverly hiding behind the bike holding that kid

Don't worry, if you look closely you can see my son's hand holding his daughter, he's kneeling down behind the bike.

How are you finding the Scram? Im seriously considering one as the price is silly cheap and they have now stopped production.

To be honest, I haven't been out on it yet, but on the ride home from the dealers I was very impressed. It's quite a big bike, and seems to have good build quality, the paint finish is superb.

Go and have a look at one before it's too late.

I take adventure bike series on YouTube with a pinch of salt in part as there's alot of influencer content on there...

Have you ridden it yet? smile

The Joe Ryan India series is proving this is a tough little bike.
