Hi All,
After thinking about it for a few years -! - I finally took the plunge and put a deposit on a new S. In Alpine blue, the orange stitching on the buckets and cup2 tyres with a few other things.
Very excited by it and looking forward to taking delivery. Any tips for running in and getting used to it,particularly the cup2s which I have no experience of would be greatly appreciated.
Also any specific forums/clubs worth a look?
It joins my retirement fleet of a Boxster GTS 4.0, Civic Type R FL5 and an Abarth 595 comp. No electrics for me! Keeping them all until I’m gone.

Cup 2s are fine just as long as you drive normally in the wet or cold. I've used mine all year round with no problems.
Running in I followed their advice - below 4k revs for 800 miles then below 5 after that until about 1600 miles. Always let it warm up first though of course.

Finally collecting mine tomorrow morning and very,very excited by it.
I’ve had it “new car prepared” with a ceramic coat application by a specialist detailer recommended by the dealer. First time I’ve had that done and looking forward to seeing the results.
I’m also pleased that the weather looks ok - not least as it’ll be my first experience of driving on Cup 2 tyres.
It’s an Alpine blue S with the gt wheels and orange stitch inside.
Can’t wait to start driving it on some Welsh b roads that I’m lucky to have near us.

I have been tempted to put them back on in the summer since no one seems to be biting my hand off with them for sale on eBay, probably a bit late now.
Will you will have some running in to do? it was still fun even keeping the revs down for the first while and you can still have a cracking go on country roads.
I'd be interested to get your thoughts on the ceramic coating.

You got a link to the tyres as mine are on 3mm.I loved driving mine on the Cup2s, it feels great. For what is worth, I hated mine on cup2s on the roads. Good grip in summer heat, but spring/autumn they're awful. It is impossible to get heat into them, and they lose it quickly... expect intermittent and sudden understeer that makes you loose confidence in the car. Smaller sized PS4 are the opposite, so progressive and confidence inspiring, even with lower grip levels... or SC7 which grips as good as cup2s and has the feel and progressive behaviour of PS4...After thinking about it for a few years -! - I finally took the plunge and put a deposit on a new S.
