I'm looking for a specialist to replace my EGR assy, not interested in a delete before anyone comments.

Would be pleased to hear of anyone who has had a replacement Essex/Suffolk way, the costs and details of the garage doing the work.

Thank you.

Just checking in again; little help please if we could, as I should have a part arriving this weekend I'd like to get fitted soon.
It's getting boring having to reset the error codes now.

What car is it ? you may also find a garage won't fit a part you provide - unless its a genuine part, with EGR valves never buy the cheap ones off ebay. Only genuine, Valeo, Pierberg etc.

Ah back of the engine then, can be 5-6 hours or longer if awd, usually work out around £800-900 fitted with all gaskets and bolts, clamps etc needed - I cannot reccomend anyone but just to give you an idea.

Thank you, I did look at a couple of YouTube videos, normally I'd do it myself. But I think it's a bit too inaccessible for me this time.

Never done one but anything on the back of the engine on these is a real pita.
I think it would be easier to drop the front subframe which isn't too difficult on a 2wd from what I've seen.
Only ever dropped one on a Mk 5 Golf but took about an hour give or take.

These two are good.

https://pinnacle-automotive.co.uk - Ipswich, Suffolk.

https://www.bmminitech.co.uk - Dedham, Suffolk.

They are ex master techs from Audi and BMW and know German cars very well indeed.

Just in case this falls into anyone else's camp; bimmer. now BMW only, their Audi tech has left the building.

From those 2 I linked? Didn't know that.

To be honest, I've owned German cars since 1994. VAG, BMW, Merc...they are all much of a muchness. A VW or BMW, or Merc tech can just as easily work on any of them. Just depends if they have the proprietary scan tools and access to BMW, Merc, VAG cloud servers for the service history, recalls and TSBs etc,

Unfortunately not by me; they tried it on a bit with some parts in the past, and I do what I do; vote with my feet.
