I’m struggling to find a guide to the icons, can anybody help?

I get a very brief yellow light flashing above the fuel gauge, it’s so brief it’s switched off by the time I’ve had chance to work out what it is. I think it maybe DSC as I’m getting power reduced at the same time, but I’m not really giving it much gas.

Best place would be the manual.

Otherwise just google "bmw warning light" they are all there.

Thanks. I’ve tried both those, but neither tell me where the icons are.

Thanks. I can’t work it out, by the time I’ve noticed it it’s gone out and I can’t seem to find anywhere a diagram that shows where all the icons are located.

I suppose if there was a check which switched them all on that would work.

Have you Googled how to access the hidden menu and then access that to do the cluster check?

That will bring all the lights up so you can see what's what

You sure your not loosing traction and the car is doing what it's ment to do ie cutting power. Tc light will flash if you loose traction. Also consider if your x drive your tyres, thread, size difference etc

That’s what I’m thinking, but I wasn’t trying very hard. The back tyres need replacing so it could well be that.

If they're low tread/roads are slightly greasy that won't be helping... Try it again on a quiet, safe piece of road and see if it does it again

Try it on grass, maybe.
However, I have booted the pedal on an x drive, I don’t recall flashing lights, just a reallocation of torque and grip without drama

Managed to find it by looking at the 3 series instead clap

It is the DSC icon, bit surprised on an x drive this is happening, but now I know I can work what’s going on more clearly.

My previous post is from the 3 series: from ‘MyBMW’ app the sign information expands to:
I can’t say I have had the sign come on on my F30 335d. But when I do boot it, I’m usually intent on looking ahead. I must say, I rarely hear any scrabbling of tyres, so maybe mine is distributing the power to each tyre more effectively.
