What adhesive for reattaching window trim??

When I got this car the trim round the top of the pass window was loose. Assume somebody accidentally closed the door with something in the way, or somebody wedged something down there at some point.



Not a major issue but I'd like to reattach it.

What adhesive should I use? Is a PU adhesive like Tiger Seal okay or should it be something else? The material is some kind of rubber, with a vaguely felt-ish feeling finish and it's got to stick to painted metal (door frame).

I already tried some 3M VHB tape I had knocking about and it wouldn't stick.

Clean it with isopropyl or similar and then PU adhesive is perfect - provided you never want to remove it

Similar job on the E46 and the recommendation appears to be CT1 over PU.

And or the Wickes own brand version of the same.
