Looking for real life experience in living with 3 GT and 5 GT - been wanting to replace current 330i with another Beemer with larger space (3 dogs!), so naturally looking at 5 series Touring, but also the 3 GT and 5GT. Don’t really get on with their shape but needs must. So do both GTs offer much more boot space compared to 5 Touring - aware they got more height and back seat space not important for me. Also is the 5GT too unwieldy on a day to day basis, given I go down to Cornwall quite often so ideally a good motorway cruiser but still need to weave through narrow country lanes. Cheers

I test drove a 328i GT and a 530D GT (2014 I think they were) and the 5GT is obviously a much bigger car with it being based on the 7 series chassis IIRC

Both good cars; the 5'er would always get my vote; but the load space, even though good, isn't as good as it is in an F11 touring and that'd always get my vote, more so if you have dogs

The 3GT wouldn't work that well IMO; it's not that big and again, a touring would be a better bet

We've the F31 now and that load space is very adequate; not as big as my previous E39 touring, but not by a huge amount
