Afternoon everyone,

Does anyone happen to know where the upper mounting point is for the spare wheel rubber strap? The bottom one is there, but all I can see are some random looking holes in the rear light cluster (mine has the MK3 fiesta rear lights)

I think my Chim has had a bump at some point because there's some P40 looking stuff around the cluster, looks fine from the outside though. I'm thinking this may be why the mourning is missing.

Also, does anyone have a pic or diagram of the boot carpet - all mine is there, but it was all in pieces on the boot floor, so I've got no frame of reference as to what bits of carpet should be glued where...

IMHO you need to look at the later central mounting straps for the spare wheel as...they use two straps (in essence 2 longer bit of Pireilli webbing) and it allows the roof panel to go in much easier. A@

I have this photo at the moment, from when I recently ran a stainless rope from the boot latch to the cavity behind the driver seat.
I used that hook to attach a key ring loop to hold the wire.

Not sure if that's particularly helpful, but it appears to be a self-tapper into the fibreglass and potentially the light cluster.
And the tired looking bit of Pirelli webbing holding my spare in place.

I get the point on central location for the spare, but I'm not convinced I'd fit my golf clubs and collapsible trolley in the boot if a wheel was there.
I can get the roof in with all that clobber in there too, because the roof sits up against the petrol tank
