Hi all, has anyone found good fitting rear seat covers or a dog bed for a 991.2? I'd like to bring my dog on some road trips but would prefer to avoid destroying the leather if possible. I wonder whether it would be better to put a bed on top of the folded down seats with a little extra support.

If anyone has figured this out I'd appreciate the feedback.

If it's only you and the dog, and depending on the size of your dog, i got a new car seat for mine which goes in the front which is excellent:

From Pet Awesome on Amazon.

We had a similar issue, albeit for a 991.1.

Our solution was to have a shaped foam support in each of the rear seats and a further small foam extention in front of the folded backrests to increase the depth of the proposed dog bed. With the seat backrests folded, a shaped board was cut to fit on top of the backrests with a fitted foam bed.
We only have 1 photo showing our 35kg dog on the bed. If it is of interest to you I can photo the various parts and the installed bed without the dog. There were no modifications to the car and the bed can be fitted or removed in less than a minute.

We felt it was important to provide support for the folded seats, not to cause any damage

You could try

https://www.overthetop.co.uk/

They made some rear seat covers for my Carrera 911 (992), the covers are very well made and have cut outs for the seatbelts so you can secure the dog harness with the seatbelts if required.

Would highly recommend them.

Best give them a call as they do not appear to show photos of 991 rear covers, I am sure that they do them as I recall seeing them when I was looking for 992 covers a few years back. This was after Covid and they could not get car from Porsche dealers so they used my car as a template.
Based in Hinckley if you are local.

Hi Bilbo,

I've just picked up my 992.1 GTS Cab, and would love to implement something similar so my Labrador can join me on a road trip. Would really appreciate any additional details on the construction.

Give me a couple of days to get the car out of the garage, when it is not raining, and I will take some photos of the various foam parts and construction, etc.
