Low emission fault MERCEDES A35

Has anybody successfully got Mercedes to pay for the full cost of repair on what I can gather is a known fault the car low compression will need costly repair according to garage has only done 28000 full service history 2020 any advise appreciated.

We had an A35 on lease since 2019 that went back earlier this month. New engine at 45k and then needed a cylinder head at 65k. Luckily was covered by the original warranty and the extended warranty covered the cylinder head. Always serviced by main dealers. Had lots of other issues all covered by the extended warranty including alarm and a/c…. Pleased merc payed rather than me.
