Oh dear, although I like the car it's got to be at least 15k overpriced. I thought initially the interior was (should be) mulberry colour instead of brown. Plus saying an "on the bum dyno" is not good enough for a car boasting specs without actual dyno readout. Can't see it moving soon myself despite how they describe it.

I don’t give a hoot whats right or wrong with it and I only looked at one picture as football matters more tonight but
I’m greatful and glad someone’s valuing TVR’s as a prized very special piece of kit.
Prices have been suffering very badly recently with good examples with many 1000’s spent being offered up at prices which can only mean the owners are loosing huge amounts of money.
This car might take an age to sell or not but it can only be good for the brand and knowing how people’s minds work the more expensive it is the more kudos is brought to all of us owners who have laboured and done the right thing in keeping the cars alive and on the road for everyone to enjoy.
The day they all rot in sheds will be a very sad day.
Most people can no longer afford to waste money on cars that won’t reach 2/3rds the cost to keep or indeed make them better than ever before.
The days of rich blokes lavishing countless expense on these cars are close to being over as fewer and fewer affluent types are prepared to waste money on what is an emotional attachment and not worth the money spent so I can only applaud such people valuing them high and helping to keep them a valued part of car history.
Remember in the 1980’s when E types were dirt cheap!
Very positive is my feeling about such clever marketing.
You just never know……….
We might even win the football if people start valuing the players instead of damning them. What a great team Gareth Southgate has crafted from very young men.
Just like a good TVR it might breakdown every now and then but they are still one of the greatest cars to drive if a bit dangerous but living dangerously is a good thing if you just show them a bit of respect.
Come on let’s be positive.

Corr blimey that’s expensive. Football mania must have gotten to me and no I wasn’t drunk last night.
Clearly a fine example though.
Knowing what I know I did expect to see a more modern ignition system but it’s also easy to criticise rather than look at the positives.
Good luck with the sale as I do think they are under valued when you consider the price of some classic fords etc and I’ve seen MK3 Cortina selling for 10k…have you ever driven one of those things, a poxy family saloon that drives like a boat wallowing about on terrible suspension.
The market will decide.
Sadly TVR past reputation will always have a detrimental effect.
I know of a Ferrari 348 that’s pretty tatty sold for just under 40k recently and it does not drive anything like as good as a sorted TVR but it’s a Ferrari so that’s ok then.
It requires a lot of work to get it to the standard we would expect in the TVR world but as a long term investor the chap feels it will only go up in price.
What has become apparent to me driving a Tamora on a number of public events recently is every chap who took the plunge and drove it came back enamoured and had no idea they drove so well, thrilled the crowd and all eyes were on the thing. Sharing the track with loads of iconic cars and with its sports pipes the sound is just sublime and absolutely second to none.
When the professional drivers all want to drive it that’s tells a very clear story.
People pay a very nominal fee for a few laps and so far I’ve found about 70% of drivers want to carry on and buy extra laps then come back in with a heart rate through the roof saying they want to buy one which is a hell of a strike rate. It makes me laugh.
As a pure drivers car you can’t beat them.

I admire your sentiment, but a certain car of a certain age is only worth so much. Doesn't matter what's been spent on it, the fact remains. I know only too well about TVR values, I've had four of them and the last I bought for 20k, then spent a further 27k on it along with so many man hours to get it where I wanted it. I sold it for just under 30k, and that was good in my view. The nine years enjoyment along with blood, seat and some tears ( some so-called specialists are nothing but tossers and I know of one saying in private that TVR owners have too much money to waste). We all hope our cars will be worth more and post similar views on the subject hoping values may rise but I stand firm in my opinion that, that car is not worth anywhere near the asking price. I’m imagining a loss of upto 10k for mine
It’s pointless making them that good but I'm still proud of doing it and someone gets a good car.
I had years of endless pleasure tinkering and had a very reliable car which I enjoyed driving thoroughly.
At the end of the day memories are worth a lot and we can’t take the cash with us when the reaper comes for us so f
k it
