Smaller wheels on a MY21 XC90 T8?

As the title says Im investigation putting my set of 18" Volvo wheels onto my XC90 T8.......theres about 1" dia difference between my low profile 21's and my higher profile 18's.

Thinking od caliper clearance etc and affect on speedo readout etc?

Any advice greatly received.

I don’t know, but did Volvo fit an 18” to the Xc90 from factory?
I suspect the tyre size will be OK from a speedo perspective, but 3” or their abouts extra tyre sidewall will make a dramatic difference to the ride and handeling. In that I would expect it to be “pillowy” soft but vague.

I too would suspect caliper clearance could be a concern both ET and the inside of the barrel.

I have to ask, purely curious, why?

What does the handbook suggest as fitment options (possibly winter tyre sizes). This should prevent insurance issues as they are manufacturer recommended. Historically european market fitment has been smaller than the fashion biased UK market.

Should have said - I have a set of winter tyres on 18 inch Volvo wheels that I used with my V90. Now I have the XC90 on 21's and Id like to know if I can fit them to its axles.

The smallest wheel in the manual is 19 inches.

If you have them, just try them, or else do as I said earlier "Just google "wheel change", "tyre size change", or pretty much any similar phrase." armed with the wheel/tyre sizes.
