I’ve been thinking about one of these for a while and this car piqued my interest. However…….the proliferate use of “reportedly” and “seems like” put me off immediately. Either advertise the car, or don’t. Don’t try to use legalese “CYA” B**S**T to wiggle out of future issues. It’s a TVR for F**$ sake, we know they have issues.

Sweet car. I guess this will sell at early to mid £20k? Worthwhile spending a bit more and having the chassis already done, engine work too.

Any fluid leaks or overheating issues? Does everything work and why are you looking to move it on?

No fluid leaks or overheating issues at all.
All the main things work fine except the passenger door mirror motor. I’m looking to sell it because I also have an Aston Martin and I don’t drive it enough.

I dont think so tbh, advertised prices of older cars and what they are ‘actually’ selling for are vastly different and although this seems a clean example, outriggers will have people concerned, also the 90k miles.

Ive toyed with adding one (used to own many a tvr) to the collection but would be hesitant for the reasons mentioned (unless ive missed the outriggers being done?) to pay more than 14-15k.

Fantastic looking Griff. The sort of car you can enjoy without even driving!!

Very tempting, despite trying to downsize garage of cars already not being used enough.

What is the current situation regarding the chassis? MOTs of some years ago mentioned rust. Anything been done since?

The person from Pistonheads who did the vehicle description should really have researched the car first as the description gives the impression you wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.
If you look at the photos they tell you the car has been cared for, it even has the original nose cone.

What was done to the engine during rebuild? camshafts? Also, presumably the description should read 16k miles 'ago' and not 'age'?

The Chassis had surface rust in places but is solid. It has been treated, painted and wax oiled 3 times during my ownership. It’s always been garaged and hardly seen a wet road.

The Engine rebuild was done in 2011 16k miles ago.
The receipts should be visible in the photos.
