Folks,

My friend has a 1993 Honda NSX NA1 with a broken gearbox needing some invasive repair work, and other bits and bobs (cam belt, ABS pump repair etc) needing done.

Any tips for specialists or places to get the work done? Would rather go independent as opposed to the Honda dealership network. Having trouble finding somewhere with the expertise to get the work done. Based in Scotland, near Edinburgh, but the car can be transported

you might be better posting this in the Scotland section. Good luck.

Automek and PerformanceTek are both well regarded in Honda circles (both Glasgow based)

Have a look on the NSXCB forum, there is a guy down south called Kaz who is THE NSX wizard.

Andrew the owner at Automek has a NSX of his own that he’s rebuilding from the ground up. Don’t think it gets much better than that

My pal has been on the phone to Andrew following the previous comment! Seems like we're on to a winner, thanks very much for the tip.
