They are the sister company to Autoaid. Because I can't get family cover with Autoaid, I would have to go with the above company. Are they any good?

I've been with Autoaid or Autonational for years, mainly to get a whole family covered across two or three cars.

I needed to call them once, stuck in a car park in edge of Edinburgh on a Friday lunchtime with a damaged but carefully drivable car. I called and paid my excess. The initial 'less than an hour's estimate became a two hour wait. I called and they informed me they had no one available and perhaps I should leave the car and return Saturday afternoon?

I ended up sorting it myself using family, a bike and some borrowed tools.

I then argued with Autonational that I hadn't received rescue, that I needed my excess back which they initially refused.

I don’t think any of these are ‘better’ Green Flag left my Daughter for 12 hours at the side of an A road with no footway from 10pm.

We got compensation, but they all use the same pool of recovery agents and they get overwhelmed and just bullst you.

We collected her at 2am, they didn’t call again until 9-30am.

Estimates were 11-30, 12-30, 1-30, then ‘can you get a taxi’

I was surprised the car was still there the next day and hadn’t been broken into or rear ended.

Think I'll just let RAC auto renew then.
