Hello,

My front plate has disappeared and not from me removing it on purpose.

Does anyone know anywhere that does a uk replacement plate in Germany or will I have to mail order one from the UK?

My Google stalking skills have failed me and I'm just getting Germany 'style' links

Thanks

Lyons

Typically answering late as I don't drop in here so often.

I think your best bet is ordering from the UK. Plastic style UK plates aren't all that common here. Ebay.co.uk seller is a good option, as they have good cross border shipping options rather than things getting stuck at the border.

Interested to know - still ok to run a car on UK plates for an extended length of time nowadays? I knew it used to be possible a few years ago...

I tried a few uk sellers on the bay but they said no to international shipping. I'm back in country in a few weeks so I'll get a few made for then and bring them back. Will just be naughty for the moment and run without and risk it.
Yeah, technically up to 6 months without the need of registering it with the tuv but I know guys out here with vans for longer still on UK and not had an issue when they've been tugged.

It still needs a current mot as well
