XKR - Global opening setting

I picked up my XKR at the weekend and so far I'm loving it.

I have had a slight issue pop up though which has stumped me a bit, I've tried to turn on global opening and after a second it defaults back to off again. It won't stay on. Global closing works fine though.

I really want to be able to open the windows on the key so I can squeeze into the car in tight spaces. Seems odd that it doesn't work.

I've reset the windows and they open and close fine. The doors lock ok and global closing works fine, just not the opening. I've plugged in the CTEK to see if that helps, but the battery wasn't low to start with.

Anyone have any ideas?

Just to close the loop on this in case anyone else has this.

The problem was that the global opening setting would not save and kept disabling itself.

The answer was that Jaguar disabled it because of concern thay the buttons on the key would wear and cause the windows to roll down. Dealer has now re-enabled it so I can toggle this on or off in the menu.

Problem solved, but needs dealer level software.
