Does S2 suspension directly replace S1 suspension?

Can you simply take 4 S2 dampers and springs and replace the S1 units with them?

Depending on what S1 you have and what ride height you want, then yes. Chances are you may need to swap some brackets around to get it right though, and of course you need at least your 'toe in' doing both ends and prefereably a full castor/camber geo setup.
