My fanbelt has munched its way through the top hose, I can put a bit of metal inbetween as a bit of a bodge, but a better solution will be a slightly shorter belt, to decrease alternator angle and new top hose.
I have searched for part numbers but drawn a blank, does anyone know a suitable part please?

Thanks.

Hi Mike.
Iv'e been following your recent threads and it seems you've had a few ups and downs with TVR ownership!!
The munching fanbelt is not an uncommon problem, I felt mine would have gone that way eventually so I simply put a tie wrap around it to pull it up and away, easier than fiddling with Alternator etc.
If you let me have your e mail I will send a picture of "how" this was.
ACT can supply the pipe and they do a nice line in coloured silicone hoses but I think a bit pricey.
Hope you are all well.

I had the same problem a few months back! See

www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?t=167330

I rang around the usual places to no avail. TVR car parts didn't have anything at the time, as they'd only just opened. They might have something now though, as they were looking into it.

I didn't fancy the ACT route as all the other hoses are rubber - and a different colour! So I fixed it with a coupler from Halfrauds.

Cheers

I went down the ACT route in silicone but seemed to have got left with a 90deg bend as the top hose replacement which dont fit! so ive still got a rubber one with a scar on it from the fanbelt....its gonna blow one day!

Perfect fit, have a gander at my other thread.....£9 all in, with a quarter of an inch gap...perfect.
