HELP! Shims question

I grind AJP8 shims if they are too thick

I do it by hand on a perfectly flat surface, using various grade wet n dry, to a polished finish

It can take me hours to get all the shims to the desired thickness

Unfortunately I need thicker ones.....

They are 10mm diameter and the only things they are common with size wise as far as I'm aware are some Harley Davidson and KTM motorcycles.
I wouldn't want to use unknown motorcycle shims in a speed 6 as you'd have no idea of hardness etc but then again I have had a few of the original TVR shims wear/squash.

As far as I can see, shims are actually seems from bikes stuff as you suggest.
I understand your fear about quality but I really think that even shims you buy from TVR shops are some of those shims rebranded.....

Can you may you count on some bikes shims if they are high quality ones?

For everyone whoes will be in my situation:

Not only I confirm that shims are motorcycle ones, I add that, ones I bought from Motaclan, unlabeled, are this one:

I found AHL brand stamped on the plastic case....
So I think every shims you find with the right size will be good.
No one could tell you which last longer I think....
