Id like to spend a day and a night doing something memorable with my girlfriend (no smutty comments from the back please) I can think of flying, or hot air ballooning, and staying in a nice (considering a castle) hotel somewhere overnight. But what else could we do to fill 36 hours? Light aircraft flights are amazing/loads of fun/just up my street, but are over too quickly. What else can we do to have fun for a weekend - I dont have a massive budget, perhaps £275 or so.

Do something stupid like going to a theme park or get a boat and go for a cruise.

Probably total, but I might be willing to stretch to £400 if something worthwhile was suggested. (plus fuel of course )

If its a caslte you're after try Amberley Castle. Sister had her 30th birthday there, fabulous place.

www.amberleycastle.co.uk/

800 years old, lovingly restored, only thing lacking was a vat of oil and a few rampaging peasants to pour it over.

How much are they, do you think. We are not far from Sovereign Harbour in eastbourne... Id have thought it would be too pricey.
