Did anyone use the above ? I couldn't see the Arnage free parking on maps . And how busy was it for viewing?

Parked there - Arnage Gratuit - about 8.30pm or so on Saturday night - easy run from BSJ via Arnage village and purple signage but did take some time. Free car park in 400-500m south of newish roundabout and gate to enclosure - loads of space in car park whereas but of a queue getting into normal carpal with pre-booked tickets etc

Saw cars into start of dark and loads of people still arriving - still lots of space in car park left to but 2/3rds full then

Banking was pretty full

Both were great, so much better and how it used to be. Arnage, short walk to the corner complex and Mulsanne in usual place. Great viewing, less busy.

We had a ticket and had no difficulties at all getting into or out of the car park at Arnage on Wednesday evening and Sunday morning. The 'gratuit' car park looked rammed on Sunday morning.

Did anyone else get turned away from the violet route to Mulsanne Corner by the gendarmes on Sunday morning - about 9-9.30 am? We were literally about to make the turn and the police car pulled up, blocked the road and ushered us on.

Whilst on subject- haven’t been to Mulsanne viewing area for ages and used to access via Ruadin road.

Is there a pedestrian access gate still close to the banking or is access just down long track by sports centre with parking at end and a walk along? And any Gratuit parking there?

There was a horse loose, we got caught for about 10 minutes whilst they secured it. Then free to travel between Mulsanne and Arnage corner. Arnage gratuit was fine to park in Sunday :-)

No free parking at Mulsanne as far as I'm aware. Unless you dump your car on the estate and make a very long walk in.

There was Gratuit parking, not a big area but the road leading in has a car park (hard ground) and the verges at the side of the road. We did thislast year and this year. I am hopeful next year they will open up Gratuit like Arnage as the paid parking wasn't fully populated.

Better to just buy a ticket. Even if they sold out early on, there were plenty that came up on the resale site. Cheap as chips in relative terms.
