Orange Elises?

I was looking through the original Mk2 Elise brochure and came across Lava Orange as a paint colour.

Is this different to Chrome Orange?

If so how is it different?

It appears that you could only get Early mk2 elises in orange, as on the website its no longer an option, only the Exige seems to have this as an option.

Can anyone shed light on this?

Chrome orange is still an option on the 'liz. The S1 in orange is beautiful and is what I originaly fell in love with.

Orange looks great but scares nervous people. The oranges are different - lava is more red than the chrome.

Lotus had problems with the orange paint on the S2 I beleive, so they sorted it by simply stopping it.
