If anyone is interested
I had uneven wear on a front tyre which wasn`t going to pass the mot.
Being an X drive I was given different advice on what tyres were needed from garages and BMW.
The other 3 tyres were ok at around 4 mm tread.
I decided to go for 4 budget non run flats from black circles and fitted at a local garage.
Had the wheel alignment done,
Just driven down to southern Spain,no issues what so ever.

What are the precise depth readings?
For me, I would keep the front tyre, as long as it stay legal, and replace all four when the others get to 3mm (as long as the front is still legal). Also have the alignment check at that renewal.
